Mr. Ditto focuses his practice primarily on real estate matters. His practice includes eminent domain and easement litigation relating to pipelines, power lines, fiber optics, telecommunications, railroads, highways, airports, subsurface gas storage, and other public and private facilities. Mr. Ditto has successfully secured temporary restraining orders or injunctions in a number of cases to prevent interference with construction or operation of pipelines, power lines, fiber optics, and other linear facilities. The firm often defends related claims for trespass and inverse condemnation.
Mr. Ditto authored the “Wyoming Handbook” on Easements, Eminent Domain and Split Estates, and he often
speaks at seminars on easements and eminent domain. He served as outside counsel for the State of Wyoming to represent the Wyoming Department of Transportation in highway condemnations. Mr. Ditto has been chosen by the American Bar Association’s Eminent Domain Committee to author the Wyoming Chapter on Eminent Domain Law for its 50 State Compendium. Most recently, Mr. Ditto was a partner at ALG Law for the last 20 years. Before joining ALG he practiced in Holland & Hart’s Cheyenne, Wyoming office for several years. Prior to that he lived and practiced in Denver, Colorado
at Rothgerber, Appel, Powers & Johnson.
Mr. Ditto has lectured and written articles for various special interest groups including the Wyoming State Bar Association, National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services, Halfmoon Education, Inc., Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association, Wyoming Claims Association, and Council on Education in Management.
Mr. Ditto received his undergraduate degrees from Brigham Young University in Chinese and Justice
Administration, and his law degree from the University of Wyoming.
